This Thanksgiving many of us are staying at home and missing out on time with family and friends. Thanksgiving often comes with some great memories of all the cousins hanging out and days of cooking together with loved ones.

So, we rounded up our favorite activities and books that are available right now at Rutabaga for you to borrow for Thanksgiving this year! Have your kids cook alongside you with this adorable tabletop stove! This activity encourages kinesthetic development as your child cognitively plays like a grown up and it is a great way to involve your kids in the Thanksgiving meal process.

These items are only available for pick-up, but you can order them for pick-up today or stop by and purchase at the library!

Kids love puzzles and they are great activities to help your kids stay focused on a project. And they are also great activities for the whole family to do. We have a large selection of puzzles for kids of all ages available for borrow.

Get your child’s imagination going with this train tracks set! Your child can create a number of different paths and scenes with this set, keeping them focused and distracted while you are busy cooking.

Books on kindness

A new book is always a hit and a great way to weave in some stories and lessons about the Thanksgiving season. We have some great books on kindness, being thankful, and gratitude, including this Rutabaga favorite.

Rutabaga Toy Library is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, so be sure to stop by TODAY before 2pm to browse and select your toy borrows.
